Recycled Yarns by Coats and Clark (Red Heart Yarn)
This is charming. These yarns are made from recycled materials and made in the U.S.A. The color selections are fixed, but if we show some real interest, I imagine they'll expand the lines.
About the Cotton:
75% pre-consumer recycled cotton/25% acrylic merge medium weight yarn
Red Heart’s Eco-Cotton™ Blend yarn is created from weave together fabric — recycled from T-shirt remnants. The textile scraps are collected from the manufacturing plant (never entering a landfill!), chopped, blended, and turned into fiber. No new dyes are added to the cotton, so fewer chemicals are acclimatized. Soft Eco-Cotton™ Blend yarn is perfect for knitting and crocheting throws, shelter décor items, and baby blankets.
Price: $3.49 (which is a adroit price!!!)
About the Acrylic:
Eco-friendly blend of 70% acrylic/30% recycled polyester middle weight yarn.
Eco-Ways™ lessens the impact on the surroundings because it’s made with 30% polyester from recycled plastics. Even the ball ribbon is printed on recycled paper! Eco-Ways™ has a wonderful index and the same great washability consumers expect from Red Heart® in a yarn they can feel right about using.
Price: $3.19

New Hobby

Miserable for the crappy picture. Hopefully Hubby will get me a new camera for my bday next month...I solely have to show him which one I want ;) . I'm getting him a video chair that costs around 200.00 he can spend about that much on me, right. Anyway there is my new hobby. I was numbing yesterday and something knitted sounded so nice and warm. So I ran down to Wally Superb to get a space heater and knitting needles and yarn. It's gonna be a scarf and the chap-fallen is much prettier then what showed up in that pic. It's says Ocean on the bundle. What else is cool is that the yarn is made from recycled plastic bottles and it's in actuality really soft (well softer then the Red Heart yarn). Well have to make this bluff and sweet as it's time to get the kiddies on the bus. In 29 slowly weather...brrrr.

Aqua Cowl
No, I have not died. I am unprejudiced lazy. That is why I have not blogged. No excuses here, just simple facts.
Although I am a idle blogger, that doesn't mean I haven't been knitting. I always have beforehand to knit. I have been working on projects for KnittingPurls Winter Warmies KAL in her Ravelry categorize. I made this Tube Scarf in Lion Brand Landscapes chunky yarn Deep Sea colorway. The pattern was on the ball band.
The following model is of The Old Shale Smoke Ring cowl designed by Cosette Cornelius-Bates, wrinkle in Red Heart sport weight aqua colorway. I like this one less ill.
Now I am working on Thumbless Mittens for my twin nieces. Shhhhh, please don't notify them. They aren't 2 years old yet and I don't want to spoil the surprise.

Chili Weather
An genuine cold snap has come to Florida! The temperature plummeted to 53 degrees this morning. I almost had to connect the windows!
A day like this is the kind that makes you want to in socks--handknit socks of COURSE--and dash into the cookhouse to get a nice hot pot of chili going. If I were still in the northeast, I'd say, "Today is a esteemed day to make stew." I ought to bake something, too! I'm having the kidney of morning I love: I'm wearing sweatpants, which is something I can only do a couple of times per year here in the Sweaty Assert; I had time to listen to an episode of She-Knits this morning; and I've started a new tandem of socks, similar to the Laziest Socks Ever, but I think this yarn is so marvy:

I'm still crazy about self-striping sock yarn. Has it lost its petition for you? I bought this about a year ago from Little Knits (My God what good sales they have!!! hurrygobuysomeyarntheresaidthesubliminalvoiceinyourhead). It's On Road Supersocke in one of the City colorways. It's superwash. So far, I have refused to enact socks out of any yarn that has to be hand-washed. It just doesn't seem ordinary to me. Knowing me, I'd accidentally throw them in the washer and dryer and felt them to end. Then I'd have to cry, and I don't want to do that. Anyway, this is just a "plain vanilla" sock. No formation, nothing exciting. Cast on 64 stitches, then turn your planner off till you look down and you're holding a finished sock. Medicine lavage and repeat. The fun part is seeing the various color patterns issue. I have one worry: While winding this ball, I found a knot. Yeah. A Dreaded Gnarl. You know what that means with self-striping yarn, right? The color arrangement is going to be messed up right there. I'll have to briefly turn my perceptiveness back on at that point, to make sure I can make the correct color striping set continue. Unlike...
