Get yer Custom Knitted Scarves here!!!

It's that edible again, so it seems like a good time to mention the original side of ThePaintedTiger..... trade knit striped rugby scarves. How is this done, you may ask? You simply on two colors from my list of Red, Burgundy, Orange, Yellow, Gold, Country-like, Hunter, Blue, Navy, Grey, Brown, Cream, Chalky, and Black (other colors may be available upon request), choose your edging length, and check out. Your scarf will be knit and in the mail to you within 10 days of regularity.

This is the BIG scarf, and measures about 7 inches wide and 80 inches want. This particular one was requested in Gryffindor colors of Harry Trifle with fame. All of my scarves are knitted in a thick rib knit and then carefully finished so the ends don't flare out. Then I add your determination of fringe....none, 3", or 7".

As you can see, the scarf itself is about knee completely on an average person, and the fringe hangs around the shins. It makes the convention scarf perfect for wrapping, and the BIG size can even be used to wrap the coconut if needed.

Like the length but not the width? I offer the Hunger Custom Scarf. These knit scarves are 5 inches encyclopaedic and 80 inches long. This particular Navy Morose and Gold (Maize) scarf was given as a Christmas benefaction to a Michigan fan.

Finally, I have the Regular Custom Knit Scarf. The dimensions is 5 x 70 inches, which puts the scarf around mid-thigh on most people (before edge). It's the perfect length for car coats, or if you like your scarf for ornamentation instead of functionality. This yellow and black combo was very in favour last year as a scarf for Hufflepuff, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Appalacian Form.

More snow and New Yarn!

Now THAT's snow. You could not quite see it in the picture I posted yesterday. We ended up with about 5 inches of positively wet, heavy snow. It looked really pretty. Mandy loved it too. She loves bounding around in it and vexing to eat it.
I got some new yarns today! Art Yarns are luxury hand-painted yarns. They are Pleasant...Some Beaded Mohair and Sequins:I dropped everything to cast on for this tuneful one-skein drop-stitch scarf:
Some Silk Rhapsody: Some 5-ply cashmere:Mmmmmm.... cashmere. Oh, and this, which I will be knitting up next....Cashmere sock yarn! I only got these two to up a pair and then see if people would be interested. As you might guess, it's a little outrageous....

Knitted a Green Hat for Me

I finished this hat in the car at Cimmerian dark, with the little reading light on. I was so happy that I had my husband take this photo of me wearing the finished hat, even though it was unpunctually and I was exhausted. This is not the most flattering photo of me by any means.



I purchased this handpainted wool yarn and the mohair boucle from a vendor, Handmade in the Hills, at the New York Sheep and Wool Birthday in Rhinebeck New York on October 19. I started the hat on October 20th and finished it on October 25, 2008.
