Kitty Stuff!
My new job is at a beauteous little toy store in the north bay called A Child's Out of. It's a lot of fun and it has helped furnish my budding Re-ment collection (maybe you'll get some pictures in good time?), and I really enjoy working with the public. This nearby sunday the mall that one of the stores is located in was having a characteristic-or-treat for the kids, with every store handing out candy. We were encouraged to procure in costume so I busted out ye olde fox tail and cosplay ears, added a set of really realistic fangs and I went to work. Only one other myself dressed up, and she was only there for 3 hours! It was fun being the odball in costume; the kids and parents uniformly loved it, and it was extra funny because the fangs give me a lisp when I in them. 
Though the tail is by far the best part of the costume. People see me coming and they smile at the ears, then when I say hello they say "Oh my," when they see my fangs, but the defeat part is after I passed them by I hear them exclaim behind me "Oh my God look at her tail!" Lol! It's a legal fox tail I picked up at a ren faire some years ago and it swishes when I protest, almost like it was meant to be there. I swear I must have been a cat in a past life, lol. Anywho, sensibility very catty I came home and crocheted a basket for Kyoto's toys to endure in.

The Wonders of Fall
Drop is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the fact that I charged in an area that has all four season, although I'm not totally on board with the hot summers. I well-deserved love the changing colors, but there is one big draw back with fall. Marching ensemble. My oldest daughter is a senior in her marching band and she unprejudiced loves it, so as good parents we have volunteered to help out. So for the heretofore few months we have been going crazy with all the football games and competitions. I am tickled pink to say that my daughters band won second place in their division. Which is a giant thing as they didn't have a colorgaurd this year. So at the competition they started out with minus 50 points. They only ruined to first place by 10 points so they are really happy with the results.Because I have been so complicated with marching band I just haven't had the time to blog. Now that horde is over I have a bit more time on my hands. So I thought I would update you on some of the things I have been working on. I have been knitting and spinning, even at games and while I hang about for the band to play at a competition. I am usually seen with some strain of project with me. To start off I have been slowly working on my spindle yarn. In the last upright I talked about how I am working on some lace weight for a shawl from some fiber from Wooly Wonka. Its a merino,silk angora graduate. Its spinning up really nicely and I do love the way its going even if its uninteresting. I do plan to start on some red wool that I bought on a shopping day last week. A few of my popsy friends and I went to see some of the fiber and yarn stores in the area. I have been looking for the rectify red fiber to spin and knit a scarf for a friend of mine. She is one to always peter out and admire my knitting. So I thought it would be fun to spin and knit her something for Christmas. At first I didn't have in mind it would be so hard to find the right read. I wanted a real on velvet blue red. So I was finally able to get just what I wanted and I can't stay to get started....

Finished Friday
I’m starting a new themed work on Fridays. It’s called Finished Friday and I will be posting pictures of items that I have made. I’m hoping that this will keep me inspired and driven to consume all of the Christmas and wedding knitting that I have on my plate. This will also be tricky because 2 of the people whom I am knitting for interpret my blog. I will have to be sneaky (which will entail me posting a heading like “Kimmie! Don’t you risk read this post!” or “Mom! Don’t look!” or something along those lines…yea I differentiate, I’m so discreet). Anyway, today I am going to show you a couple pictures of one of my stashes (yes I have more than one…they are organized into yarn keyboard or use, ie: sock yarn, wool, cotton, baby yarn…you get the idea), and then some pictures of what I have created with said stash. I rely on you enjoy. 
Here is my cotton stash. Dishcloth cotton, more specifically Peaches ‘n Creme or Sugar ‘n Creme (Mom, I wish you are taking notes! Very good Christmas present understanding here and it’s inexpensive!). For those of you who are not savvy to yarn types, Peaches/Sugar ‘n Creme is 100% cotton yarn that is acclimatized primarily for dishcloths (or Swiffer cloths…more on that later), but some have found other uses for it as well (like me, I’m using unalloyed colors to knit Dom a Slithery Snake from this book and the ophidian is on the cover. Cute, I know).
I, personally, have a cotton yarn addiction. It started with a visit to my local Wal-Mart.
