When I graduated from cheerful school thirteen years ago I asked my parents for a sewing device. Together with my grandparents, they bought me a Husqvarna Viking 230 Galvanizing. I was very grateful & I've used it a lot over the years. Unfortunately there is a glitch with these machines--or perhaps the glitch is with me, but the store gave me two different machines and they both had the same problem. The bobbin casing flips around whenever there is any pressure on the sewing thread and every time it flips the tension gets all messed up. In the primitive years of its life, the bobbin would only flip occasionally, but now it flips every few stitches, so it unqualifiedly isn't even functional anymore. I am going to see this week if either my dad or a Viking servicing center can do anything about it. In the mean time, I asked my mom about her sewing machine. She doesn't use it very often and I hadn't seen it for awhile. When she pulled it out the other day for me, I was thrilled to find out that it is a semi-antique metal Singer. Astonishing! She said I could borrow it indefinitely. So, if we get my machine working well-advised b wealthier, they will keep it for their occasional use and I will use their wonderful Singer for now. I am very excited about this.
For my first project I decided to select a sweater drying rack. My mom has one she bought, but I decided to try making one myself. I had the PVC supply and joints already, just sitting in my basement. They are part of a PVC quilting forge I made...
