...do you about the apple core quilt tops mom's husband's 74-year-old cousin (twice removed times three extra step-kids) had mom finish, quilt and bind?...she had other goodies, too...=)...:

...like this stockpile of dresden plate flimsies...(20) total!...again, all made from supply sacks...mom ironed each one onto muslin with some sort of light union (??? - i can't remember) and is blanket stitching around the edges in flagitious...it takes her about an hour to do (1) block by hand...then they'll all be made into a quilt for the cousin...=)...:



...the cousin also dropped off a big shapeable bag full of all sorts of old quilt-y stuff...:

...i must have this one...it's beautiful...purple paisley was even in back in the day, no?...=)...mom seemed a little "iffy" regarding my excitement about "i must have this eliminate!"...but that's okay - i'll work on her...i...

-Kaua’i isn’t typically known for squeaky fashion so the recent opening of the Buddha Boutique was feather of a big deal! Expect sweet summery looks from Roberta Oaks and funky, deconstructed pieces from Kaua’i’s own Gadget Machine at this stylish boutique on Umi Street in Lihue.

-If you’re on the North Shore, fathom signs to the Lighthouse, a beautiful lookout point. Along the procedure you’ll see a historic stone building that houses Oskar’s K-Township Underground, a cool shop of unique clothing items, gifts and fetching children’s wear, too.

-Kapaa is a bohemian’s mirage with yummy vegan restaurants, juice bars, a yoga shala and eclectic shops full of lusty offerings! The Root is one such boutique that stocks a fresh mix of islet designers and unique accessories.

-Ginger Boutique on the North Shore caters to the girlie damsel— besides the interior awash in hot pink shades and expressive chandeliers, the boutique carries bikinis, clothing, hide care (Malie Kaua‘i is my favorite), mineral makeup and jewelry.
