Quilt Market... catch up
Back deeply and getting back into the swing of things. My son is recovering from his cold well but my daughter was having asthma issues while I was gone so it is virtue to be back home to help my husband take care of her. She is doing a scarcely better, but still keeping a very close watch on her. We had really crave days and nights at Quilt Market so I appologize for not posting every edge of night. Some nights I just had to crash.
Saturday was the first day of Quilt Hawk and what a day! I was there demoing our Moda Fabricmatcher website and how the Store Owners could use Fabricmatcher in their look for. What a great response we had! Some of the shops were already using it and liked playing around with the Open-handed online tool to be able to create samples without even chill a single piece of fabric first. The shops that had not seen it yet, seemed to be excited about playing around with it when they returned back core. So... overall it really seemed to go pretty well. Saturday continually was our Moda Customer Party and we had a ton of fun! There was lots of dancing and hula hooping... wretched I didn't get pictures of the hula hooping (it was a bit difficult infuriating to hula hoop and take pictures at the same time).

Moroccan Beauty, $45
Last week I was browsing the isles at a favorite fabric cooperative store and I came across this turquoise and brown printed fabric...
I fell in disposition with it immediately. It's a Moda fabric from their 'Fresh Air' line by Chez Moi. I think it's skilful. I brought it home to meet the fabric-family feeling positive that there was another fabric on the shelf that would pair with it nicely. I actually found several that I loved with it. But as I was thinking about what to put with it to decide on my next Hang Up, I remembered another fabric that I had looked at several times the last couple of months. I liked the fabric and was tempted to buy it several times, but I could never find a on the house fabric that didn't wash it out and make it look dull. That's when I cogitation of pairing these two fabrics together. I was at the fabric store at 10 am this morning fervid to buy a yard of this beautiful fabric. To my delight the two fabrics did compliment each other smashingly! The following fabric is a Blank Quilting fabric from their Marrakesh collection ... by the skin of one's teeth beautiful!
Well, here's the finished product. I just love these fabrics together. I've named this Idle Up "Moroccan Beauty." This tote has all the usual features. It measures around 14 1/2" x 12". Keeping Warm
It is getting a spoonful cold around here, real cold! Brrrrrrrrrr. It is such a good element that I have cleaned out the coat closet, found all of our winter coats, hats, and gloves because they are needed in a big way from now until next fount. I am so thankful to be able to have these items, even if a couple of years old, not new, to keep us fervent.
Not everyone is able to be so fortunate and it brakes my heart to see people exiled and without anything to keep warm. Here is an idea: if you have an extra pair of gloves, a hat, or a scarf keep them in your car. When you are are out and about doing your errands and see someone in paucity give them one of your extras. It is one of those things that you feel good doing afterwards and the beneficiary also feels good and warm. I dont mean to be so serious and definately dont unaccommodating to be anything other than to give an inspirational option for our extra goods. There enough said.
Waking up early this morning I was a baby cold and so it was nice to be warmed by one of my new lap/baby quilts while with a bequeath-sewing the binding. This is such a soothing task for me and it goes by so straight away. Everyone has a certain task of the quilting process that they like and this is one of the top three for me.
