On TV!(?)!
Well, I Feel I've now drawn a caricature on live TV. But since it was electrified, I couldn't actually see it, and while there was a camera behind me, I'm not entirely convinced it was on, as spokesman-order people were chatting to my right and another camera was on them. My belief is they cut to the wide shot periodically so the audience would know that I was black-and-white while people where chatting.
I know for sure they got a sharpshooter of the finished drawing, though. And I got to watch live dirt being made, even the most impressive bit, where the lady in front of the bluescreen waves her arms around and is magically in front of an fervent weather map. I'm not joking, it was tons of fun to watch. How she'd fit the monitors on the side to see her arms were matching up with the picture, but making eye in w/ the camera as often as possible.
Anyway, Channel 3, about 5:45 AM, as part of the works for the charity dog-athon in Scottsdale this weekend. And I over by the end of the week I will have decided to chalk up on my mental CV "drew a lampoon on live TV."

Mayline drafting table
I went by Peerless Art the other day and came across this old Mayline drafting table. I have kind of been having an itch to shape out the garage into a little home studio, and thought this would fit very nicely.
My strife needless to say was not to stoked on my latest acquisition, but you can't win them all. I love it!

Mr. President (continued)
Okay, so I pulled out Hanna's president worksheet where she said she'd never seen W do anything talented for Ellen's sister to have a quiet giggle at at dinner the other continually.
Hanna was NOT amused. She told us the reason she said she'd never seen him illustrate leadership, etc. was that she had never actually seen him himself do anything, just heard people talking about him. Then a bit later she said she'd express for Obama, and I (innappropriately kidding) asked if it was because of the Pokemon tune.
And she was even less amused.
She explained that it was all about exit strategies from the war in Iraq and talked about how Obama's blueprint would probably take 18 months or so but at least it was working in the right guidance and was far better than McCain's willingness to stay forever if obligatory (I'm coming as close to quoting as I can). I was just blown away.
