Recent Tulle obsession...

I justified realized that three of the four projects I am posting tonight have tulle on them. I contrive I might just have a little bit of an addiction to tulle these days...must be my new point. Tee hee! ;)

Isn't this little witchy card adorable!! I tolerant of some of the My Mind's Eye's "Nightlight" paper line, and embellished with that crafty K & Company witch sticker, and some generic glittered carbonation stickers from Michael's. That second layer on the window-card is just a square of cream colored felt...I memory it added some good dimension to the card. And then of course...the malicious tulle tied in a bow, and a pin & rhinestone added to it for some bling.

This is one of three October assignments for Provo Duplicity. I used the new "Combo Snowflake" (cut and emboss) for the Cuttlebug engine. After cutting and embossing the snowflake from white cardstock...I covered it in shimmery glitter to give it that accessory something! This card uses Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding" papers, some SEI ribbon, and American Crafts feeling rub-on...and lots of zig-zag stitching. Love the handmade touch that gives it!This is my relocate October Provo Craft project. I used my Cricut Expression and the Indie Arts solutions cartridge to cut out the lips and the "smack" diecuts, glittering the lips and frame aside to let them dry. After assembling the strips of paper and stitching them, I partial to them to the tin...

Clear Dollar Stamps - Card Categories - Sneak Peek #1

I'm in fact excited to share this stamp set with you. It isn't anything spectacular, or shiny, or wonderful amazing, BUT it is one of those basic basics that help you organize and keep things precise and neat. And, it can be used as a way to give the perfect finishing touch on a valued gift etc. Plus, some of the words can even be combined with each other or other sentiments you might already have to forge that "perfect" phrase.

Anyway, I've now probably totally confused you huh?? This set is justifiable that - a set of words to help you categorize your piles of cards that you purposes have in your stash. This set is called Card Categories (a total of 33 words) and will be close by for purchase at Clear Dollar Stamps (CDstamps) on November 1st.

For me things, I make lots of cards which means I have lots of cards. I do have some friends and next of kin that when they get a chance will go through them and pick out the ones they want and its easier for me as well as for them to see what I have.

For today's present though, I decided to make a card carrier as a small gratuity for somebody. I kept it pretty basic because it wasn't my aim to provide cards for the entire year and every occasion, but to give someone a few to keep in their stash.

I chose to keep it to a birthday monograph and made 2 cards for each category. The finishing touch are the tabs with the categories stamped on them for acquiescent organization and visual appeal. I made the case to fit slightly smaller cards (but still mailable) 3 1/2" x 4 7/8". This appraise is so quick and easy to decorate too. The envelopes are...

Pazzles or Cricut Expression...

I have been asked today in a reaction left on my blog which machine I prefer... the Cricut Expression or the Pazzles. I rapture them both equally. I know that is not a fair statement as you probably muse over I would like one over the other. To me, the machines are totally different in how they can be used.

The Cricut is cartridge based and while you can map with Design Studio, it is... and probably always will be... a cartridge based system. I have over 40 cartridges that can be reach-me-down with the Cricut. The cuts are all designed by Provo Craft and I love the comprehensibility of using the Cricut by just popping in a cartridge, selecting the intent to be cut, and cutting files to use to make a quick card or layout.

The Pazzles allows me to originate (draw) my own designs in a vector type format. I dearest designing my own projects and being able to use any font that is available. It is more outdated consuming to use than the Cricut if you intend to design your own WPC files, but I love the versitility of the clique.

I would not give up either machine at this point as I use them both differently and for different reasons. If I were looking to buy one and not interested in crooked my own files, I would certainly go with the Cricut. One thing to consider is that cartridges can get priceless. If others have an opinion, please post it here so others can get different points of views on both machines. Exuberant Day!!!!

Christmas Layout using the Cuttlebug

Hi Everyone:

Well, I don't certain about you, but I am inspired by the great projects we've had so far! I'm excited to try some of these great techniques, and I'd like to quota one with you too. Think you can't use the Cuttlebug on a scrapbook page?

Think again! It is discerning and easy, too!
Materials you will to make 1 12x12 scrapbook after (the specific items I used to make my example are in parenthesis):2 sheets patterned instrument (I used DCWV)3 sheets of cardstock (green, creamy, and red and I also used some scraps of black for the paper piecing)ink pad (ban, white)Cuttlebug and 2 embossing folders (D'vine Swirls and Swiss Dots)Cricut expression (Distribute Doll Dress Up for paper piecing and Printing 101 for headline)embellishments (Prima flowers and brads)heat embossing tools (impetuosity gun, white embossing powder, glitter)Now we're ready to launch!

First select the character you want for your paper piecing and cut out all the pieces. I chose Santa from Legal papers Doll Dress Up and cut it at 4.5" using the Cricut Expression.

Next, take the pieces you desire embossed and run them through the Cuttlebug. For Santa's hair and beard, I reach-me-down D'vine Swirls, and for the "fur" of his jacket and hat, I used Swiss Dots. Oh, I almost forgot!

I also inured to Distressed Stripes for his little belt. After dry embossing, summon your paper piecing:

Now it's time for the title and photo mat. I cut my possession on the Cricut Expression using Printing 101 in 2" and 1.5" out of red cardstock. Cut 1 tongue-lashing of white cardstock at 2"x11" and 1 piece at 1.5"x11" and 2 pieces of unripe cardstock, 1 at 2.25"x11.25" and the other at 1.75"x11.25". Ink edges of bloodless and green cardstock. Mat white cardstock with green and glue title-deed letters onto the white cardstock:

My Little Purse

Proper morning! I had this as part of my Papertrey ink's Blog Hop post for yesterday, but as I a while ago stated, things just didn't go my way yesterday. I was frustrating to save myself some time since we were taking a quick trip to call my Mom by writing up my post in Word while I was in the car, but then I copied and pasted and it all went to (you conscious where).

So, what my point was going to be yesterday was that this little purse was my prototypical project for the Blog Hop until I realized that I got the challenge all wrong in my source. For some reason, I've been the challenge had to do with circles, which it did in a way, but not what I was thinking of as circles.

This but purse was cut using my Cricut Expression on a 12x12 mat using the fit to page feature. I hand-me-down the Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge and had seen this little press together cut out before, but just hadn't gotten around to cutting it out. There isn't much that is easier than pushing a button and having the organization do all the work. I got left with the fun part of decorating.

I used PTI's Floral Outburst set as my background and then added a bit of Martha Stewart Doily Provender Decoration stuff that I got on clearance at Michaels. Added a bit of ribbon and a tag and it was in position to go. Don't ask me who this is for thought, since I have no idea - just one of those fun projects.

Thanks for visiting and guestimate what??? Yup, just a couple of more days and I will posting lots of fun cards and projects using Go Dollar Stamp New Releases. You will love them all!

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

Not actually too sure about this card perhaps because it's different from my usual style. This is my access for the challenge on A Spoon Full Of Sugar ~ sparkle, I've used my sukura glitter pen for the wings but I've by the skin of one's teeth noticed that I've forgotten to add stickles to the hats, I'll make dependable I add it later.

The snowflake has been cut using my Cricut Expression, this machine makes icy shapes so easy.

Thanks for looking
