New Meetup Group in NYC: Cupcakes + Crafts
A very unwelcoming new Meetup group was just formed in NYC by Corris called Cupcakes + Crafts, about, yes, you guessed it, cupcakes and crafts.
There are already 3 meetups scheduled:
November 1st (that's this Saturday!) is a Suffer and Greet at Crumbs on 8th Street, and here's what Corris says:
Hi cupcake lovers!
I'm so pleased as Punch you joined this new meetup - Crazy for Cupcakes + Crafts! I love eating cupcakes and I also enjoying crafting, so I asseverative to marry the two activities for an enjoyable meetup filled with fun, creativity and deliciousness!
At our very first meetup, we'll harvest at a cupcake bakery to nosh on some tasty cupcakes, we'll add ourselves and get to know each other, and I'll show you some cupcake-themed craft projects that we'll attain in upcoming classes. I'll be seated in the rear of the bakery holding seats for y'all. Please get ahead in the world on time, we don't want you to lose a seat. biggrin
This convention is free! Please support this business by purchasing a cupcake or another winning treat. $3 for a classic cupcake or $3.75 for a bon viveur cupcake.

First Annual Arts - Crafts - Yard Sale
Carillon Littoral Resort announces the first annual Arts-Crafts- Stuff exchange, to be held on Market Street, in Downtown Carillon Seaside, on Saturday, November 15, 2008, from 8 am – 1 pm.
Several hundred invitations have been sent to vendors, and the Carillon Merchants Link, sponsors of this event, expect at least 150 vendors selling their goods on the day of the big mark-down. Vendors may choose to set up their booth as a fundraiser for non-profits, or characteristic profit. Consumers will have a wide variety of first arrange original art pieces, handiwork and crafts in a various mediums, “gently” familiar items ranging from household furnishings, jewelry, clothing, sporting gear, glassware, antiques, and so much more.
Food and beverages will be available for trade for the convenience of shoppers. The Market Street shops will be uncluttered for business, and some will have various items on sale for this special day.
