We're tender waxed canvas now.
It's cotton canvas coated in wax to make it water-defiant.
-It's more ecological. It uses less oil to produce. Synthentic canvas are oil-based acrylics.
-It also shows its age well.
-Degree thicker and heavier.

Artygirlz - fabric
Julie and Crissi have made some gargantuan examples - whimsical and fun - using fabric on their artwork. That’s the Artygirlz problem this week. I too am entering a canvas, though the use of fabric may not be too obvious. However, if you look closely you can see I have inured to a fair bit of muslin and hessian to form texture on this conflicting media canvas - “Oasis - Light & Shade”.
Lamentably, scanning it hasn’t shown the depth of the coloured, which just looks grey in this pic, but it’s a really expensive dark and light canvas and I’m so pleased with it. It’s acrylics and multi-textured, using that groovy Oasis stamp again and the highlights are done with silver acrylic, applied with 2 fingertips!!
I finished all my canvasses today, so I can slacken up on a little, but I still have bookmarks to make and probably another couple of bags, provided I have mores! When I booked my table, November 8th seemed so far away… now it’s looming. Ah well… back to effort!

Arty Girlz weekly challenge # 58 Fabric
The Arty Girlz doubt this week is to use fabric on your creations this does include felt, it could be something as straightforward as a little fabric flower or a whole quilt.
I love Caludine Hellmuths industry its so fun and whimsical, and reminds me of when my son was small and we used to sit and watch a cartoons together one was called Angela Anaconda amongst others and her line so reminds me of the happy days of sitting and watching t.v with my son.
Any way here's mine it's type of a poppet doll of my Aunt Rosie claudine Hellmuth look
I painted a 4x4 canvas yellow and added blue circles made by dipping hold back tops in to the paint and stamping them. For Aunt Rosie i printed a pic of her cut it across the shoulders glued it to mollify colour paper then tore a piece of text periodical from a book and glued that from the shoulders down, when dry i cut it out painted it with a blue convey when dry you draw in the dress detail with a black pen. i gave her some yellow buttons then glued her to the canvas, my fabric fundamental is the heart , i cut a heart shape out from blue fabric did some yellow stitching around the crawl and glued it to the canvas.
